Biking

If you enjoy biking and history you will love the “Olden” Holden bike tours. There are three routes of varying lengths (3 ½ miles, 5 miles and 10 miles) that explore the rich history of Holden Beach and are marked with numbered signs.

Boating

From sunset cruises to early morning fishing charters, Holden Beach offers a variety of options for getting out in the open water or exploring the marshlands.

Golfing

There are over 125 golf courses within an hour’s drive of Holden Beach, so it’s easy to find a course that’s right for you. With nearby Lockwood Folly Country Club, this four-star (as rated by Golf Digest magazine) 18-hole, par-72 course is fun for the whole family. View All Golf Courses »

Fishing

Fish from the pier, the beach or try deep-sea fishing. There are many charter options to choose from, most offering ½ and full-day options.

Turtles!

Holden beach is a designated turtle sanctuary and is known for its reputation as a nesting beach for loggerhead sea turtles. Loggerheads nest from May to September. The baby turtles hatch from July to October.
